Gathering Preparation 05.15.2016

Family,
This week we begin our study of I Corinthians, we'll be spending (essentially) the rest of 2016 studying this book. I look forward to going on this journey with you all as we come to better understand the unity and joy of worship and the sovereign power of God in the lives of His people. This week we'll be singing the following songs, which can be found on our I Corinthians Playlist

Beautiful Scandelous Night
Let Your Blood Plead For Me
Jesus I My Cross Have Taken
May Your Power Rest on Me
Jesus, Thank You
The Final Word is Christ

Again, Here is the link to our Spotify, so you can listen to the songs mentioned above. There is also a Children's Playlist for this series

Our liturgies will be taken from Psalm 9; read through that psalm, meditating on God's power and His gracious response to His children.

This Sunday John will be doing an introduction to I Corinthians; please spend the week reading quickly through the book to get a general understanding of its structure and themes. If you're feeling ambitious, read the introductory material in a commentary on I Corinthians. Discuss what you've learned with your friends, family, and Refuge communities as you prepare for Sunday

In Christ,
Alex
